It's time to go...

I'm less than 48 hours from departure. I'll be leaving Sunday morning, flying through NYC, and arriving in Madrid on Monday morning. Only a few short weeks ago I was sitting at Target Field thinking that I couldn't get any more excited for anything, but after 3 quick losses and a couple weeks of seeing other teams play baseball in October, I can say that I am even more excited to leave now. The past two weeks have been baseball (distraction) free, and I've been able to get a ton of planning done. Here's the map of my trip, I've made it as a kind of basic guide of where I'm going to go. It also has the number of days I'll be staying in each place, the hostel I'll stay at, and if there's any soccer game going on while I'm there.

I'll be traveling from place to place by bus, which should save me some money versus traveling by train. Although the map shows me ending my trip in Porto, I'll actually be going to Barcelona from there. I'm planning on coming home a few days before Christmas at the latest, but I defiantly want to spend some time in Barcelona.

One last important thing: I gotta say thanks to everyone who's given me advice or encouraged me to go on this trip. And especially thanks to my parents, I hope they don't get too bored without me...

I'm going to try and update the blog with pictures every once and awhile while I'm there, most of the places I'm staying have internet. If you want to get in touch with me while I'm away Ive got a facebook, my E-mail is georgecostansa@aim.com, my skype is georgecostansa.
